What is stored
Reviewed 31 October 2026. Written for melaveh.com, and about this one house. It is not a template and it is not a copy.
The whole of it
Two values in local storage, put there by this site and legible to nothing else. Not one cookie is set by this site.
| Key | Written when | Value | Reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| melaveh_age_ok | The age card is answered | yes | So the card is shown once per device |
| melaveh_consent | The storage strip is answered | granted or denied | So the strip stays answered and the four signals follow it |
What runs first
Before anything else happens, in the head of every page, Consent Mode v2 is set to denied on all four counts: ad storage, ad user data, ad personalisation, analytics storage. That is the condition the page begins in. It is not a correction applied after a tag has already fired, because no tag fires.
If a tag were added
Google Analytics 4 would add _ga and _ga_CONTAINER, each lasting two years. A Google Ads conversion tag would add _gcl_au with a ninety-day life. Neither is present, and neither would be written before Allow had been chosen.
Changing your answer
What is stored, in the footer of every page, opens the strip again. Choosing to keep it off stores denied and drops the four signals back at once.
Refusing it at your end
Every browser in current use can refuse storage site by site. Refusing it here breaks nothing at all: the age card is simply shown on each visit, which is the right outcome and not a fault.
Absent by design
No social network pixel. No fingerprinting. No session replay or heat map. The two faces this site uses sit on this domain, so no font is requested elsewhere. No content delivery network. The network panel of a browser shows requests to this domain and to no other.
