Personal data
Reviewed 31 October 2026. Written for melaveh.com, and about this one house. It is not a template and it is not a copy.
The publisher
Melaveh, Wolwevershaven 12, 3311 AW Dordrecht, the Netherlands. Write to [email protected] or telephone +31 78 613 42 70 and ask for whoever is on the desk.
Reading these pages
Reading them identifies no one. This site has no booking engine, no payment page and no account, which removes most of what a notice like this normally has to cover: there is no name here, no card number and no reservation.
There are two values this site may put in your browser and only it can read them:
| Name | What it holds | For how long |
|---|---|---|
| melaveh_age_ok | yes, if the age question has been answered | Until browser storage is cleared |
| melaveh_consent | granted or denied | Until browser storage is cleared |
Both remain on your device. Neither is transmitted here and neither reaches a third party.
What the server records
The host writes the usual line per request: address, page, time, browser string, response code. Kept 30 days, read when something is broken or when the site is under attack, joined to nothing.
Letters, mail and telephone
Email is kept while the matter is open and for 12 months after, so a second message can be matched to the first. Calls are not recorded. Nothing is passed to anyone for marketing, by us or by anyone acting for us.
Measurement
Neither an analytics tag nor an advertising tag is ever fetched. All four Consent Mode signals start at denied, written into the head of each page ahead of anything else. Should a tag ever be added, it will not fire until Allow has been chosen, and it stops on the moment that choice is reversed.
Legal basis
Consent under Article 6(1)(a) covers the two stored answers. Article 6(1)(f) legitimate interest for the server log, the interest being a site that works and is not being broken into. Letters and email are kept because you asked us to do something.
Who the site passes through
The hosting company and the mail provider. Both are in the European Economic Area. Neither receives anything beyond what carrying a request or a message requires. Nothing is sold to anyone.
Rights, and the supervisory authority
Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and you may object. Write to the address above. If that does not settle it, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens is the supervisory authority and takes complaints.
Children
This site addresses adults. Nothing is knowingly collected from anyone under 18, and the single room with an age rule on it is watched by a member of staff.
When this changes
The date at the head of the page moves with the text. Nothing is sent out, because there is nobody to send it to.
